A NEW DAWN OF DIGITAL DIVIDE IN CAMEROON

Welcome! Because little has been documented in the digital world in Cameroon doesn't canceled the fact that Cameroonians do not use computers or do not have knowledge of ICT. Today Cameroon can boost of young researchers who are very enthusiastic about ICT in education.There are numerous Technolust present in Buea and Cameroon at large.
The presence of computer lessons now at the nursery, primary, secondary and tertiary institutions is an eloquent testimony that we have seen the light at the end of a tunnel and are preparing to get out. In most part of Cameroon especially Buea, it is very common to see the latest technologies like Ipod, iphone, net-books, mini notebooks just to name a few. It is very common to see users downloading the recent updates for programmes in their computers, and apps for their phones, there is also an increased in the level of social interaction in the cyberspace and the virtual worlds.
The level of connectivity now in Cameroon is rapidly increasing with the coming of ISP like Camtel, Orange, MTN, and now Ringo. This justify the level of connectivity. Wireless technology has helped to foster the use of laptops and desktop with wireless device working with connection with the access point to give access to internet for users with wireless devices (WiFi).
Let us take the challenges it brings costs the "Juice is worth the squeeze".
